The Chełst River

The Chełst River crosses the Lęborski District and is one of the cleanest rivers in Poland. The sources of the river are found in the vicinity of Gościęcin. The river goes down a series of ravines, past the “Choczewskie Cisy” (Choczew Yew-Trees) nature reserve, passes moving dunes and flows through Sarbsko Lake. Finally, the river flows into the Łeba River in the town of Łeba. The river is navigable along a stretch of 15 km. Two portages – kayaking time of 1 day.
