Along the route, there are ample small bridges, footbridges, barrages and rapids. Though the route is not considered difficult, you must be aware that there are portages and fallen trees. The fast current will not let you get bored. The route begins in Bytów, in Tartaczna and Prosta Streets (almost outside the town). Outside the urban area, the river flows around meadows to later on enter a forest. This section is narrow and regulated. In the summer, there may be low water levels. Near the Dąbki village, there are barrages and near the Grzmiąca village there are fallen trees and rapids. Just as near Niedarzyno where the river noticeably enters a forested area and flows through the Dolina Słupi Landscape Park. No civilisation whatsoever, pure nature – this is the scenery that surrounds you as you paddle into the Bytowa River reservoir. It was formed in the early 20th century and is part of the hydrotechnical infrastructure of the Słupia River. Next to it, there is a weir along which runs the old Słupia riverbed. After 4 km of paddling, Bytowa flows into the Słupia River and ends its course in Lake Głębokie.
