In Kociewie, almost like on a mountain river
Wietcisa

Wietcisa

Wietcisa is a little known river in Kociewie, which is the largest tributary of the Wierzyca River. It flows from the Przywidzkie Lake and winds through the picturesque border of Kashubia and Kociewie. In the upper reaches, it flows in deep ravines, is very narrow and not rich in water, and is not suitable for canoeing. The brave ones sail from Stary Wiece, but it’s best to start the trip from Wolny Dwór, above Skarszewo. From this place, canoeists have to cover approx. 12 kilometers of a very interesting trail with a high degree of difficulty. The river has a fast current, numerous rapids and shallows, and “piles”, which is why it is recommended only for experienced canoeists in single-person kayaks, preferably mountain kayaks. An interesting fact will be the old railway bridge of the demolished Kościerzyna – Pszczółki line in front of Skarszewy. In this city, next to the mills complex, there is a long portage, below which a canoe harbor is planned. The river flows into Wierzyca about half a kilometer before the marina in Czarnocin, where you can finish your trip.
