Brda – easy section (Swornegacie – Lake Witoczno – Lake Dybrzyk – Lake Kosobudno – Męcikał)

Section length: 17 km

Most of the route runs through lakes which resemble a wide river. The section has good tourist infrastructure: campsites, kayak marinas and resorts. The Brda River is well marked. The kayak marinas and rentals in Swornegacie are a good place to start your trip. The village is famous for kayaking trips. You continue paddling along a river passage between Lakes Karsińskie and Witoczno (2 km). In the Kamionka village, you paddle under a small wooden bridge and then into a gorge, along which Brda flows into Lake Łąckie. The river widens. On the way, near the Płęsno village, you can turn left to the lake under the same name as the village. You paddle through forest and meadow areas with some buildings and tourist facilities. From Lake Łąckie, you paddle along a river passage, under a road bridge, to Lake Dybrzyk (400 m). On the way, in Drzewicz, you pass a kayak marina with a camping site. Dybrzyk is a peaceful lake whose both sides are overgrown with forest complexes. The southern part of the lake shore is part of the “Bory Tucholskie” National Park. At the end of the waterbody, near the narrowing, you can stop at the kayak marina in Czernica. From Czernica, you paddle onto Lake Kosobudno. You cannot feel the current here. At the end of the lake, there is a forest camping area. Later on, you paddle onto a river – a backwater. You reach a railway bridge and finish your trip at the kayak marina in Męcikał.
